KOREATECH(한국기술교육대) 문리HRD학부 MSC센터에서는

서울대, KAIST와 공동으로, "Optimization for Big Data" 라는 주제로 강연(Tutorial 및 Seminar)를 개최합니다.  1,2차 강연은 50분 강의/10분 휴식 형태의 강의로 진행됩니다. 특히 1차 강연은 기초 부터 진행되며 특별한 배경 지식을 필요로 하지는 않습니다. Signal/Image processing, Machine learning/Data Mining, Statistics등등의 관련 분야에 관심있으시며 최적화 기반의 대용량의 데이터 처리를 위한 알고리즘에 관심이 있으신 분은 매우 도움이 될듯합니다.

강연자: Wotao Yin (UCLA, Professor)  http://www.math.ucla.edu/~wotaoyin/

Short-Bio: Wotao Yin is a professor in the Department of Mathematics of UCLA. He is an expert in computational optimization and its applications in image processing, machine learning, and other inverse problems. He received his B.S. in mathematics from Nanjing University in 2001, and then M.S. and Ph.D. in operations research from Columbia University in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Previously during 2006 - 2013, he was with Rice University. He won NSF CAREER award in 2008 and Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship in 2009. His recent work has been distributed and parallel optimization for problems with huge data.
